Microgreens are basically baby plants that are fully grown at about 1-3 inches tall.

** They are cut off at the soil level and the roots are not eaten.

** They are good in salads, on sandwiches, in smoothies and in baking.

** They are grown just about anywhere year-round and can be added to a wide array of dishes, They are an excellent, nutritional, dietary addition.

How to Grow (quick and simple guide)

1. Fill your container with about 1 inch of growing medium. Check my other blog for ideas of growing medium. (soil)

2. Sprinkle seeds over the soil

3. Cover the seeds with a little more growing medium (soil)

4. Put your container in a window with natural light.

5. Using a mister, mist soil with clean water a few times daily to help plants germinate.

6. Harvest when the microgreens have reached 1-3 inches tall and cut them off at the soil line. Most won't regrow.

7. Remove the roots and start again. Keep a few going at different intervals to keep getting microgreens all year round.
